An autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is the broader category of self-navigating robot used for transporting and moving goods around a facility. FlyWei deploys both, and often a mix, depending on whether a site needs high-bay pallet handling, horizontal transport, or both.

Safety scanners and sensors detect staff and obstacles, slow or stop the truck and route around them, and UK deployments are carried out in line with PUWER (work equipment) and LOLER (lifting operations) duties.
